For more than four decades, Maryanne Guido has been known and admired throughout Howard County for her exquisite floral artistry and luxury Christmas decorating. Her name has become synonymous with quality, elegance, creativity and meticulous attention to detail.

ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITY

Many local clients first came to know Maryanne during her years as one of the lead designers at the beloved River Hill Garden Center. More than a destination for beautiful plants and flowers, the garden center was known for its thoughtfully curated gift shop and enchanting seasonal displays.

Each Christmas, Maryanne played an integral role in transforming the shop into a holiday experience filled with gorgeous decorated trees, handcrafted wreaths, elaborate bows and carefully selected décor. Visitors could wander through the displays, gather inspiration and experience the warmth and wonder of the season.

Maryanne could also be found in the garden center’s dedicated floral shop, handcrafting fresh floral arrangements for customers, or sharing her expertise through wreath-making and bow-making workshops during its annual sold-out Holiday Open House. Her remarkable talent, welcoming personality and passion for her craft made her a trusted and recognizable face of the business.

When River Hill Garden Center closed, many of the clients who had come to admire Maryanne’s work sought her out personally. The relationships and trust she established there became the foundation for a loyal private clientele who continue to invite her into their homes, businesses and most meaningful celebrations.

Jason has always had a gift for seeing possibilities others might overlook. That shared instinct to see the world through a creative lens first connected him and Maryanne at The River Hill Garden Center, where he served as Manager, Lead Designer and Buyer. Many in Howard County fondly remember Jason’s kindness and the beautiful displays that made a visit to the garden center so inspiring. His show stopping installations revealed an imagination that reached beyond the expected—a talent he continues to bring to their projects today. When River Hill Garden Center closed, clients sought out Jason just as they did Maryanne, drawn to his exceptional talent and authenticity.  

With extensive knowledge of flowers, plants and gardening, and a creative practice that also includes home renovation, he approaches every project with curiosity and originality. Though happiest letting his creations take the spotlight, Jason brings warmth and quiet enthusiasm to their work together. Today, these longtime friends continue to share the artistry and personal care the community remembers—bringing that familiar sense of wonder into clients’ homes, businesses and celebrations.
